Hi... the only thing you need to change in the outgoing mail settings is what your new ISP's outgoing mail settings are.

You do not need to create a new email account, just continue to use the existing one that is on your cpanel account

I've got another question for the web maestro...actually two questions. I'm switching over from an Internet dial up connection to a wireless one. How do I change the settings on my computer to access my website based email? what, for example,is the outgoing server?

And how do I set up another email address from the website to substitute for the dial up website I'm losing?

THANKS!

Internet marketers are funny people. Some of them aren't very clever either. They always seem to be searching for that million dollar idea; the idea that will propel them to fame and riches. The problem is, this million idea just never comes. You could think all of your life for 'that' idea, but I assure you now, you would be incredibly lucky to come up with it. And even once you've generated the idea, it's very unlikely that you'll have the desire or resources to be able to implement it.

Sometimes, it's best to just stick to the simple ideas; the proven ideas; the ideas that work and always will work; the ideas that require little investment and can easily be replicated; the ideas that truly produce a profit.

Instead of searching for that elusive million dollar idea, why not use a proven formula, strategy or system to create wealth online?

We have provided a nice assortment of invaluable software that can greatly improve the way you work on the internet. You can view the software here www.softwaretoolkit.com

Are you in need of a great antivirus program? Personally I would not recommend alot of the antivirus programs available whether for free or paid for, simply because there is too much competition with different software venders.

Personally I have been using avast! antivirus

avast! antivirus v4.8 represents a multi-award winning solution to virus protection, with anti-spyware and anti-rootkit software built in for added security. It is available free for non-commercial, home use and with its fast, automatic updates avast! antivirus is already being used by more than 50 million users worldwide to provide continuous protection against all forms of malicious software (malware)

I have been using this antivirus software for several years now and this is one I will recommend simply because I know it works and it is also free

Try it our for yourself if you don't already have an antivirus software already set up on your home PC. If you do have one, you will need to uninstall it prior to installing Avast because some serous conflicts can cause some undesirable things to happen to your computer if you try to run 2 antivirus programs at the same time.

Check it out for yourself here . http://www.avast.com/

Would you like to know "the secret" to getting more traffic, retaining new visitors and turning them into regular readers?

Allow me to first discuss the Why and What.

We all know the importance of keywords and how they are used within
the content of a webpage in order for us to rank well in Google search results.
And a higher ranking simply means more traffic. But integrating keywords is just a small part of SEO you need to do for each and every page!

That is the "well known" and most ignored secret!

People tend to forget that search engines do not read pages in same way as humans do. Sometimes they need just a bit more help to understand what you have on your page and providing that help goes a long way!

Image descriptions. Do you know that simply changing your image file name to include your targeted keywords and also use "alt" description with same keywords gives a huge boost to your page content relevance!

URL alt description is another one of the well-known and ignored aspects of on-page search engine optimization that you can do. Just one extra second of your time helps big "G" to understand what that link is and for you to rank better!

And those are just 2 tips among many more we will provide to our readers.

Creating content fully optimized for Search Engines. Please make sure to pay attention to the "alt" definitions used for images and links. They play a very important role in how and where your website is ranked.

Hi Brian.

If you want to install a CMS such as joomla or wordpress or any other script so it opens up as the main site, you must first make sure that there is no images folder in the public_html folder or the install will fail.

When you choose to install in the root of your directory you do not put a folder name in the directory box, just fill out the login and password section and complete the rest of the install.

Just wondering, If I want to set up one of my web sites with a CMS and have it just so the CMS shows up. Do I just install the CMS in Public_HTML instead of creating a seprate folder?

<strong>How to use RSS feed in Joomla?</strong>
<strong>What is RSS?</strong>
RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. It is a simple way for people to stay in touch with new content on your website.

<strong>How does RSS work?</strong>
First you have to create a RSS feed. Than visitors of your website add this feed to their RSS reader. When you add new content to your website it is automatically sent directly to the readers. Nice, huh?

<strong>How to use Joomla RSS Feed?</strong>
Joomla has an integrated RSS Feed, so all you have to do is to enable and configure it. Thats what we are going to do right now.
Configuring Joomla RSS Feed
Log in to your Joomla administration area
Go to Components > Syndicate
<img title="joomla-rss-feed1.png" height="311" alt="joomla-rss-feed1.png" hspace="5" src="http://www.matrixserverhosting.com/rssfeeds/joomla-rss-feed1_png.jpg" width="278" align="middle" vspace="5" border="0">

A new window will open with Syndication Settings
You can leave default settings for most of them; change only these below:

Title and Description: enter those to customize your feed.
Image: Select your own image that will show on the right side of syndication feed. We use our logo.
Select which rss formats you want to enable. We use only RSS 2.0
Save your settings.
See how Title, Description and Image appear on image:
<img title="joomla-rss-feed2.png" height="373" alt="joomla-rss-feed2.png" hspace="5" src="http://www.matrixserverhosting.com/rssfeeds/joomla-rss-feed2_png.jpg" width="375" align="middle" vspace="5" border="0">

To be able to see RSS feed on your homepage, you have to enable it.
Go to Modules
Find the Module called Syndication
We will now edit this Module:
Select module position (left, right or whereever you want it to appear)
Click Yes on publish radio button.
On right, select on which pages you want it to appear.
Scroll down to Parameters: now select which RSS formats you want to use. We use only RSS 2.0
Save your settings.

Now go to your homepage and preview how your feed looks.

Here are some nice RSS icons
RSS Sample Icon:
<img title="feedicon_medium.png" height="157" alt="feedicon_medium.png" hspace="5" src="http://www.matrixserverhosting.com/rssfeeds/feedicon_medium.png" width="96" align="absMiddle" vspace="5" border="0">
RSS Icons in orange, blue and green color:
<img title="feedicon_orange_green_blue.jpg" height="64" alt="feedicon_orange_green_blue.jpg" hspace="5" src="http://www.matrixserverhosting.com/rssfeeds/feedicon_orange_green_blue.jpg" width="200" align="absMiddle" vspace="5" border="0">

After doing some research on the net regarding this I found 2 solutions to adding RSS Feeds to your website, both of which are tedious to set up without following the instructions completely.

I have posted a How To Section for one of these Setups for you.
